Hex Hardware is a PC hardware blog focused on computers, laptops, PC components (CPUs, graphics cards, SSDs, RAM, power supplies, motherboards), etc. But what makes us different is that we are a publication with a particular editorial philosophy.
Currently, we will be starting off with the CPU category first, mainly because it interests me the most. However, we will be expanding our horizon at we go further.
The name Hex Hardware simply comes from the short form of hexadecimals. Hexadecimal is special because it acts as a short bridge between long computer binary code and human brains. At the very basic level, computers work with and understand only 0’s and 1’s, also called binary numbers. For humans, reading raw binary is incredibly inefficient and error-prone. Hexadecimal solves this by compressing every four bits of binary into a single, clean character. It turns a messy byte-like 10111010 into a sharp, readable BA.
I find this really cool because it allows us the first level of abstraction and a way to start working with computers. And that is what this blog also wants to achieve. Hardware can sometimes feel dense, complex, and intimidating. “Hex” represents our goal to take deep, low-level technical concepts, from CPU architectures to memory management, and translate them into easy-to-understand, clean, and powerful insights for you.
As the author and editor-in-chief of Hex Hardware, I am starting this blog off with sharing my knowledge about the computer hardware and the components. It is simply because I love explaining hard concepts in the way that any common man can understand. As an electronics and communication engineer, I have developed this skill of breaking complex topics into easy ones, and I combine it with my skill of writing. I simply like it, but I will be open for product reviews, comparisons, and listicles later on if I get hands-on with them. Until then, it is going to be simple guides, PC how-tos, explainer videos, and things like that.
Methodology
The steps for research and writing on Hex Hardware go something like this:
Primary sources → independent technical sources → benchmark data → hands-on testing where necessary → cross-checking → final editorial review.
We will be hiring more people in our editorial team later on. So, we make sure to find people who are really into tech and not just the writers charging for words. Currently, on Hex Hardware, we have built a system for a very deep research process before we write a single text on our platform.
We verify the information from the official or highly trustworthy sources. We will also provide the links to the sources we actually trust. In technology, many times, we see conflicting information while researching the topics. In this case, we try to manually test things. For example, if a software promise one thing and the review says another, we try to buy and download the product ourselves and then test it out for the accuracy of our information.
Editorial Policy
We adhere to strict editorial guidelines by focusing more on the accuracy of the content over speed. We are completely independent with a clear intention of providing reliable information on computer hardware. We focus on providing clear and simple explanations of things that we have in hand. I will be open for product reviews, comparisons, and listicles later on if I get hands-on with them. All the information will be human-written here. However, we may use AI for some research purposes only if it’s a necessity.

We have allowed public comments on all our articles. So, if you find any issues in any article, we are open to verifying and rectifying the information. You can contact us directly about any other issues in the content or the blog. When we identify a factual error, we correct the article and note significant corrections at the bottom of the article.
